One of the best ways to spend your holiday vacations is by snowboarding and skiing. You’ll find that across the world, ski resorts go out of their  ways to make the holidays a special experience. At most resorts during the holidays you will find glittering Christmas lights, shops decorated with red and green, families ice skating, and even a spectacular firework show. If you are looking to spend your Christmas out on the slope, I have gone ahead and complied a few of my favorite resorts that are perfect for the holiday time.

ASPEN SNOWMASS, COLORADO

When visiting Aspen Snowmass you are almost guaranteed a white Christmas. At this resort you will find all sorts of holiday celebrations, from twinkling lights that decorate malls to the delicious to the gourmet hot chocolate that is located at the St. Regis Aspen Resort. It’s a must-try! Trust me!

VAIL, COLORADO

Also located in Colorado, you will find Vail. Here the Tyrolian-inspired villages are absolutely charming, and is the perfect setting for any last . minute shopping.  The resort is known for its amazing selection fof boutiques and shops. If shopping just isn’t for you, you can take in the breath-taking scenery. If you visit between December16th to the 31st, the Vail Family welcomes the holidays with a tree lighting and by the time New Year’s Eve rolls around you can take a torchlight ski down the mountain while watching fireworks.

ST. MORITZ, SWITZERLAND

If you are looking to travel outside of the country, St. Moritz is for you. During the rest of the year the Alpine village is extremely charming, but when it is decked out in holiday decoration and covered in a fresh blanked of snow, it looks lie it’s straight out of a movie. While vacationing here for the holidays, try to catch a classical Sinfonia concert series. They occur daily! Or if you want more excitement, stick around for the fireworks as they light up the mountains and town.

STOWE, VERMONT

In this quaint New England town, you will find one of the best places to ski and snowboard during the holidays. On top of getting your daily ride in, you can walk around the historic  town, and check oout the artisan market or check out a holiday concert at the Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center.
