However, the highlight of this resort is the infamous slope known as Corbet’s Couloir. Corbet’s Couloir is a ski run that is over 10,000 feet and is a diamond. Thrill-seekers may be interested to hear that Corbet’s Couloir is known as one of the most frightening slopes in the country. The resort offers clinics so that snowboarders can learn to navigate the difficult terrain that surrounds the resort.
Verbier, Switzerland
Verbier is a ski town that is famous for being one of the best places to ski in all of Switzerland. It is home to some well-known steep runs. An example of such is the 2,300-foot vertical run known as the Tortin and the 2,950-foot vertical run known as the Gentianes. The steepest run that one can find in Verbier is Mont Fort. Mont Fort is the highest point in the ski area at 10,800 feet.
Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort, California
This is a popular ski resort for freestylers. Extreme snowboarders will enjoy performing and/or practicing more difficult maneuvers at the Unbound Main Park. The highlight of Unbound Main Park can be seen in the Super Duper Pipe, which is 22 feet tall.
Whistler Blackcomb, British Columbia
This is a very large ski resort with lots of terrains for the extreme snowboarder to enjoy. Extreme snowboarders will enjoy the Blackcomb mountain. Blackcomb has many great runs for advanced snowboarders. Enthusiasts will definitely also want to visit the Blackcomb Glacier.
